Summary

The ABI 3130×l is a 16-capillary electrophoresis system designed for high-throughput laboratories. It is capable of a wide range of sequencing and fragment analysis applications including microsatellite analysis, AFLP, LOH, SNP validation, and SNP screening. Samples are loaded on 96- or 384-well plates and automatically injected into the array, with only minimal amounts of DNA required for accurate analysis. The NACF uses POP-7 polymer along with an 80-cm capillary, which enables for reads of 1000bp with 98.5% accuracy.
